This classic carol written by Fred Coots & Haven Gillespie. Myrelle is playing it on her Guo Flute. This video stars "Wendy" their golden retriever

"Stairway to Heaven" - Led Zeppelin

We couldn't resist resurrecting this iconic song by Led Zeppelin. This song summed up a generation and still resonates even today. Enjoy and thanks for listening!

"Every Breath You Take" - The Police

It is a thrill to be able to play our arrangement of this song by Sting. Myrelle would listen to the Police's greatest hits album while taking her one hour TTC (public transportation) ride to high school. A great melody that works so well for flute and guitar.

"Satin Doll" - Duke Ellington

Filmed and produced in 2018 by one of Barn Music Studio's students, Dawson. Satin Doll is a classic Jazz Standard from the Great American Songbook

"Wave" - Antonio Carlos Jobim

Brazilian music seems to be tailor made for the flute! Here is our arrangement of Jobim's classic "Wave". Filmed & produced in 2018 by Barn Music Studio student, Dawson

"My Funny Valentine" - Rodgers & Hart

Jazz Byrds video series began with this video. This was the beginning of our dive into learning how to capture our music on film. Produced in Feb 2018 celebrating Valentine's. Another romantic classic.

"At Last" - Etta James

One of the most romantic songs of the last century, Jazz Byrds performs this in celebration of Valentine's 2023 - "At Last" written by Mark Gordon and Harry Warren, made famous by singer Etta James.

"Bernie's Tune" -Bernie Miller

Starring the Bass flute & Wendy, our golden retriever. A great music video in celebration of Autumn

"Tears in Heaven" - Eric Clapton

This heart wrenching song, is made with love & care, dedicated to all of us missing a loved one

Jazz Byrds playing Norwegian Wood. The beginning of the video, John tells the story of how the Beatles came to write the Song "Norwegian Wood" aka "This Bird Has Flown"

J.S. Bach - Jazz Byrds style

"Sleepers Awake" -cantata BWV 140

Great Riffs can be gleaned from many sources. Filmed in celebration of JS Bach's 334th birthday (March 21 2019) We used one of Bach's riffs to create this arrangement of "Sleepers Awake" from Johann Sebastian Bach's Canata #140 BWV140

"Air on the G String" - orchestral suite no3

A casual night playing, so we thought we would quickly film it. Myrelle is playing a flute made from composite plastic called a "new voice" flute made by Guo. John is playing a Takamine 132 classical guitar. These instruments are perfect for playing together at home, to give a nice soft sound.

"Siciliano" - Sonata no2 for flute

We are playing an arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Siciliano" the 2nd mvt. of JS Bach's Eb flute sonata BWV 1031 - we changed key to suit the two instruments

A great JS Bach melody, just made for flute & guitar. We filmed this in 2019, but released it in March 2020, in celebration of Bach's birthday
